Purple Tripiche Pendant and Earring Set
What’s this piece’s story?
The pendant in this set is called a Tripiche Amethyst. True trapiche gems have inclusions between growth sections. However, simple color zoning or inclusion growth within a crystal can create “trapiche-like” patterns in some gems. This means that the crystal of these trapiche-like gems is continuous, whereas in true trapiches the mineral is broken up into sectors which grow individually. Still, these gems have the stunning symmetry associated with trapiche gems and are also immensely rare. The same minerals that form true trapiches may form trapiche-like color zoning or, in the case of rutilated quartz, spectacular patterned inclusions. In addition, diamond and pezzottaite can grow into trapiche-like gems. The Tripiche Amethyst in this set is a very deep purple and somewhat hard to get it's purple to show through in photos!

Care Instructions for All Jewelry
Jewelry will tarnish over time, unfortunately any metal (enameled or treated for tarnish prevention) will oxidize over time. Some metals will take longer than others but they are all affected by normal wear. In order to maximize the longevity of your jewelry’s shine, consider the following care instructions:
1. Try to keep your jewelry in a closed jewelry box or other container and stored as far away as possible from humid areas like your bathroom, kitchen, or outside areas. The presence of water will take the shine out of your jewelry and lead to an overall dull appearance and tarnished look. Try to avoid swimming with jewelry in chlorinated water if at all possible, harsh chemicals and water will do a number on your jewelry! Consider removing pieces before jumping into the pool or hot tub!
2. If you want to clean your jewelry, or would like to bring the shine back, do not use any chemicals that are not approved to clean your jewelry. Things that can clean jewelry are officially marked products that are safe for brass, copper, and silver. You may also put a small drop of dish soap on a soft bristled toothbrush and brush the piece clean, just make sure that you fully dry it with a microfiber cloth or something that won’t leave fibers. If you’d like to really get your jewelry shining, I highly recommend investing in some Jewelry cleaning cloths; I especially like Sunshine Jewelry Polishing Cloths and use them on all my pieces.
3.In addition to chemicals, try to keep your jewelry away from household products like hairspray, lotion, and perfumes. Do not wear your jewelry to bed or during intense physical activity to avoid any accidental scratches, dents or other damage.
I take a lot of pride in my work and I love all the pieces I create. If you have any questions about care or damage I would be happy to give you my personal advice!
