How The Challenge Works
The Bike The Finger Lakes 11 Challenge inspires cyclists to bike around all 11 Finger Lakes. As you complete each lake loop, you add the corresponding completion token to the bottom of your tracker map. Watch your progress grow as you conquer each lake!

About The Bike The Finger Lakes 11 Challenge
Launched in April 2021, this lifetime challenge has inspired hundreds of cyclists to explore the Finger Lakes region by bike. As of late 2025, over 400 people have registered and 143 have completed the challenge by bicycling around all 11 Finger Lakes.
The challenge is:
- Open to anyone - club membership not required
- Free to participate - no fees charged
- A lifetime challenge - complete at your own pace
- Provided as a public service by the Finger Lakes Cycling Club

About The Finger Lakes Cycling Club
Founded in 1971, the Finger Lakes Cycling Club has provided a community for cyclists in the region for over 50 years. The club organizes group rides, races, bike tours, clinics on fitness and bike maintenance, and provides online resources at fingerlakescycling.org.
Membership allows participation in club activities and access to members-only features including the club's RideWithGPS account.
How To Use Your Tracker
- Register for the challenge at bikethefingerlakes.org (free!)
- Mount your tracker on your wall using the included command strips
- Bike around your first Finger Lake
- Add the lake piece and bicycle piece to your map
- Repeat for all 11 lakes!
- Celebrate your achievement when your map is complete
